We are being asked to make drastic changes to our lives on the basis of IPCC reports. How can we verify its claims? Also, what does the research and report process tell us about democratic accountability more widely?

Who represents us and in what capacity; what is the nature of the democratic deficit; what system of elections and parliament would be more democratic?

The talk reviewed the technology initiatives required to “power op” the Green Economy and asked the question, “is the goal of reaching “Net Zero” emissions by 2050 achievable?”
