Croydon Constitutionalists September Meetup and latest news

18 September 2024 , categories: Cancel Culture, Freedom, News, Purley, Taxpayers

A conversation with Joanna Marchong of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, an update on the Freedom Association campaign day in Epsom plus latest podcasts.

You are warmly invited to join us upstairs at Whispers, 5 High St, Purley CR8 2AF on Wednesday 18th September at 7pm.

The TaxPayers’ Alliance (TPA) was setup to speak for ordinary taxpayers fed up with government waste, increasing taxation, and a lack of transparency in all levels of government.  Locally the TPA has campaigned with us to highlight some of the disastrous policies of Croydon Council.

Join us for our drinks and conversation with Joanna Marchong the Investigations Campaign Manager at the TPA.  We will discuss her role, the work of the TPA, and upcoming concerns for taxpayers.

Epsom – The Freedom Association campaign day

The Freedom Association the non-partisan, centre-right, classically liberal campaign group, is holding a campaign day in Epsom on Saturday 7th September.  The plan for the day is to hand out leaflets in support of their campaign to challenge the erosion of civil liberties and in support of individual liberty and freedom of expression.

Join us meeting outside The Assembly Rooms (147–153 High Street, Epsom, Surrey, KT19 8EH) at 10:30am and we will break up into groups around the town depending on numbers, stay as long as you can but we are finishing no later than 1pm, and anyone is welcome to join us for a drink.

We are growing!

We are expanding our activities via regional Politics in Pubs groups and have created a map where you can search for a group near you. Our latest group in Ilkley is actively looking for new members and if you live in the area please contact them via email.

Don't worry if you can't find anything nearby as you can start your own group. If you would like to be put in touch with other people interested in talking about politics, please reply to this email letting us know your location and we'll help to get the conversation started.

We have also started to grow our network with other free speech groups who have a similar interest in open discussion and debate. If you have such a group and want to appear on our map please get in touch.
