Manchester – The Supreme Court ruling of April 2025 – where are we now and what next?

25 November 2025, categories: Event, Gender stereotypes, Law, Manchester, Meetings, Woke

The supreme court ruling has clarified that ‘woman’ in the Equality Act 2010 means ‘biological woman’.

Reactions of public bodies have ranged from immediate revision of procedures, to total defiance of the ruling.

Some bodies who are not yet complying with the ruling say that they are waiting for further guidance.

Is this a generational issue with many young people supporting the elimination of sex based boundaries, while older people see a need for them.

Should we be concerned that some public bodies and organisations are flouting the law?  If so what, if anything, should we do about it?
