We imagine this isn’t a question you have asked yourself recently? However, our guest speaker for June, Steve Endacott, disillusioned by the state of political debate, not only asked the question but came up with a fascinating experiment to explore the potential. He created AI-Steve (https://ai-steve.co.uk) which made it possible to talk to all Brighton’s 45,000 constituents simultaneously! The aim was not just to answer questions on his policy views but also to research how new policy should be developed.

AI-Steve didn’t manage to breakthrough in the election last year but the real Steve learned a lot from the experience and is looking forward to sharing that experience with us.

An investor in multiple businesses within and outside of his core travel sector, Steve has the unusual distinction of having had successful corporate and entrepreneurial careers.  Steve was the Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the then world’s largest travel business MyTravel PLC, before leaving to set up businesses such as Holiday Taxis Group.

This promises to be a fascinating talk and Steve says he is looking forward to a healthy discussion around the potential for AI. He is also interested in looking at the possible pitfalls and dangers of a technology which is at the cusp of enabling huge societal change.
